HP INIT Award 2004
The Hewlett Packard Innovation in Information Technology Award (HP INIT Award) for teachers was launched in September 1998. This Award serves as an avenue for outstanding innovations to be surfaced, recognised and showcased.
The HP INIT Award is one of 4 key programmes undertaken in partnership by MOE and Hewlett -Packard to contribute to the enhancement of quality and creativity in education in Singapore. This partnership is a result of MOE’s interest to involve the private sector in education initiatives and HP’s worldwide citizenship objective to be an intellectual asset in the countries in which it operates.
HP INIT2 Award 2004
A new award, HP INIT2 Award, will be launched this year in conjunction with the HP INIT Award, for 2004 to 2006. The award aims to promote the spread and sustainability of innovative efforts to bridge the digital divide in instructional practice among teachers. Teams submitting for HP INIT Award 2004 can include an INIT2 Plan to extend their innovative practice to more teachers through sharing, handholding and consultancy services. Past winners of the HP INIT Award since 1999 will also be invited to submit for the INIT2 Award.
The first award will be given in 2004.
