The Last Lecture – a video

chanced upon this video “Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams”. the greatest takeaway for me personally is these statements that appear towards the end of the lecture:

“It’s not about how you achieve your dreams, it’s about how you lead your life. If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, and your dreams will come to you.”

life’s not all 一帆风顺, things more often than not go the way we least intended or not intended at all. that is life, and how one LEADS one’s life decide how your life will eventually turn out. if we choose to feel miserable, we’ll be miserable; if we choose to live life to its fullest till the last day like the cancer striken Dr Pausch. 就真正可以说不枉此生了。

here’s another ‘follow up’ video if u’re interested to catch:

enjoy n be inspired too (:

btw, he’s the man behind Alice, a software to teach children programming in the fun way and this software would allow “millions of kids having fun”.

Music and Life

seen this shared by dear friend tuck soon via fb, watch it first/too? (:

if one appreciates this video, it probably means one is no longer young. if one doesn’t appreciate this video, it means one is either (1) young in terms of biological age (2) not young in terms of biological age and in a state of self-denial. this animation reminds us that life’s not just abt waking up in the morning, go to work, work … work … work …, time’s up leave work go home, sleep, morning go to work again … and the cycle repeats itself and on and on …

if one lives to work, probably you should go back to this story (:
