received this video from classmate 顾正萍who has spent much time (“Thank You谢谢！”) in putting this nice little video together. the photos were taken on Nov 29 at a lunch get-together in celebration for our beloved teacher’s birthday.

we had our last lesson today in an atypical setting (this setting is never possible (as of today) given the fixtures of the classrooms here in fudan) and it was after a lunch treat from our beloved teacher (“Thank You谢谢！”). will be back to post more photos of the day when they are shared 🙂

have not taken any group photo in any recent time (if i can recall), and here’s one to (happily) disrupt the ‘flow’ 🙂

thanks to 周莹 for alerting me that the commenting feature is not working. checked and it appears that the templates may have broken down when it’s upgraded through versions of MT3 to MT4. so i decided to MT4 the blog for good (create a new blog from scratch and ex/import the entries), and with its recent changing of webhosting company, the blog is into its next phase of life. a day to remember 🙂

was reading the copy of nov’07 reader’s digest and came upon this month’s feature entitled “Living Green” – Ranking the best (and worst) countries”. just to capture the ranking for each item of where i am now (sample size: 141):
Air Quality (rates concentration of several pollutants in urban areas): 140
Water Quality (rates pollutant levels as well as other factors that affect water purity): 124
Energy Effciency: 80
Greenhouse gases: 113
Environmetal health: 45
and from another analysis where major cities in the world were ranked (sample size:72) :
Rank: 71 *GASP*
